How to Refund a Credit Card Payment

Solution

NOTE: This tutorial is for customers with direct integrated credit card processing (LilYPad Payments/Cardknox/Worldpay).

  1. Find the Customer or Sale ID (Printed on the receipt) of the Product in the Search Tab that is to be refunded. If unsure how to do this, go to the Search Tab tutorial.

  2. If the Customer's Last Name/Sale ID is input correctly, the search will show a List of Sales Matching: as well as List of Refunded or Voided Sales Matching:. Select the Edit button on the right side of the sale you wish to refund.

  3. This will bring you to the Sales Screen where you will select the link that says Issue Refund.

  4. You will then be brought to a confirmation screen showing the method of payment and the amount selected; if these are correct, select Yes.

  5. You will then be informed if the refund has been successful.

  6. Once Next is selected you can print/email a receipt or select New Sale which will bring you back to the Sales Screen.

  7. Now when you go to refund the sale from LilYPad it will be displayed with a $0.00 amount like this:
