How to Track Product Inventory

Solution
  1. To track inventory quantities on Products, they must first be set up with a Quantity and a Minimum Quantity. These can be set when either adding a Product or editing a Product.

NOTE: A good practice is to up suppliers as well, which is found under Admin>Suppliers. This will help you keep track of where each of your products came from when they need to be replaced.


  1. To review or add to existing quantities to existing Products, go to Admin>Update Inventory from the Main Menu.

  2. Here you can search for Products based on Name, Product ID, and Supplier.

  3. Once the desired Product is found, the quantity can be changed using the drop-down list on the right side of the Product, then selecting the Add to Quantity button.

  4. The Product Quantity can also be altered by selecting the Managing Incoming button.

  5. On this page, a history of all the quantity alterations can be seen in a list organized by Product ID. To add quantity from this page, fill in Product ID field and enter the quantity being added in the drop-down list. You can also alter an entry by selecting Edit next to the desired record.

NOTE: A Product Quantity can also be edited under Admin>Products and selecting Edit on the desired Product.


  1. On the Edit page, input the new quantity from the drop-down list. The Date can be changed as well.

TIP: editing a quantity is handy when a record when the wrong quantity was input earlier.
