Seiko (SII) RP-D10 Thermal Receipt Printer Setup

NOTE: This the steps below are for use with the Seiko RP-D10 Thermal Receipt Printer used with LilYPad configured for Mozilla Firefox on a Windows system.

Download & Install Printer Drivers:

1. Download the printer drivers which can be found here https://lilypadpos9.com/.downloads/
2. Extract the contents of the ZIP file to the Desktop
3. Run "Autorun" from the root of the RP-D10_Ver.1.30 folder
4. Click "Install" on the main splash page
5. Click "Install" again in the "Printer Driver" area.
• NOTE: The drivers under the "Accessory Drivers / Libraries" area are NOT required to be installed
6. Allow the Windows to make changes if the User Account Control window appears
7. Continue with the install of the drivers
8. Select Plug and play install (Uses usb port). A driver is installed by the plug and play. and then click Install
9. If a "Windows Security" window pops up for "SII Printers" published by "Seiko Instruments Inc." , click Install.
• If the driver is NOT for SII Printers and/or NOT published by Seiko Intruments Inc, do NOT install the drivers, or continue with care.
10. Finish the Install and the Printer Driver Ver 1.04.0000 should now be installed.
11. You can now close all the Windows for the Seiko driver install

Printer Detection & Setup

1. Connect the power cable and plug in.
2. Connect the USB cable and plug into the back of the computer.
• NOTE: The cable should preferably be plugged directly into the back of the computer, and should not be plugged into the front, or through any other peripheral as this can lead to communication issues with Windows.
3. Insert thermal paper into printer.
• NOTE: The paper should sit at the bottom of the printer and does not need to be propped up in the grooves on the side.
4. Open Windows Control Panel and go to the Devices and Printers section.
5. You should now see a new printer named "SII RP-D10"
• If you do not see the printer, or is displayed under the "Unrecognized Devices" section, either allow the device setup to complete, or reboot the computer.
6. Confirm that the printer is set to the default printer (noted by a green check mark icon on the printer)
7. Right-click the receipt printer and select Printer Properties
8. *OPTIONAL* Change the printer name to "RECEIPT"
9. Select the Device Settings tab and change the Form To Tray Assignment is set to 80 mm
10. Go back to the General tab and click Preferences
11. Click Advanced and change the Paper Size under Paper/Output to 80 mm then click OK
12. Click Apply then OK on the Printing Preferences window.
13. Click Apply then OK on the SII RP-D10 Properties window.

Please perform the following if using Windows 10

1. Open your Start Menu and click on Settings
2. Click Devices
3. Confirm that the Let Windows manage my default printer is turned OFF and then close Settings

Configure Firefox print settings

1. Open the Firefox menu (icon at the top right of Firefox that looks like 3 horizontal bars) and click Print
• NOTE: This can be done from any page in Firefox
2. Click Page Setup at the Top Left
3. Under the Format & Options tab, configure the following:
1. Confirm Orientation is set to Portrait
2. Uncheck Shrink to fit Page Width
3. Change Scale to 70
4. Check Shrink to fit Page Width again
5. Select Margins & Header/Footer tab
6. Update all (4) Margins to 0.2
7. Change all Header & Footer options to --blank--
8. Click OK

You should now be able to print a receipt, selecting the receipt printer from the list of printers in Firefox. Please contact support@lilypadpos.com if you have any problems with the receipt printer.
