How To Sell a Gift Card or Membership Online

Solution

This article shows how to sell gift cards online once your LilYPad system has been set up to do so. If unsure, please call us @ 1-866-419-4043 or email us @ support@lilypadpos.com.

NOTE: For play passes/memberships purchased online, the process is the same as the steps below, with steps 6 & 7 being slightly different because of different information being needed for play passes/memberships.

  1. The process starts once you receipt an email copy for a gift card purchase a customer has made online. Check the sale ID and use the Search page in LilYPad to find the sale.

  2. Once you find the sale, click Edit on the right side of the sale record to open it.

  3. Once opened, review the gift card(s) they have purchased and take note of the amounts.

  4. Once you have recorded the gift card they have purchased, remove it from the sale by clicking red X RemoveItem.png next to the gift card item.

  5. Now that the online gift card product has been removed, keep the sale open and navigate to where the gift card button is on your Sales page.

  6. Re-add the gift card to the sale by putting in the appropriate amount based on the gift card the customer bought online.

  7. Swipe, Scan or type in the gift card unique Gift Card ID and click the Enter button.

  8. Once added to the sale, simply press Save & Close.

The gift card will now be activated. You can proceed with giving the gift card to the customer in whatever manner you deem fit (In person, by mail, etc.).
